Trevor Claiborn, Co-Founder of Black Soil: Our Better Nature, is an author, musician, environmental educator, co-operative extension professional, youth program director, and public speaker. In 2017 Trevor and Ashley C. Smith co-founded Black Soil: Our Better Nature, to help reconnect Black Kentuckians to their heritage and legacy in agriculture. Black Soil fosters the next generation of Kentucky Black farmers and chefs and leads efforts to address racialized disparities and barriers.
Mr. Claiborn has received awards from the Central Kentucky Diversity Consortium, by the Kentucky Association of Environmental Educators (KAEE). In August, Trevor Claiborn Sr. and Ashley C. Smith received the Grassroots Black Leadership Award from The Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative.

ICM Founder, Ahzjah Netjer wrote and recorded
Freedom, Born 2B Free, The song was honored by the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, GA upon their opening the center as part of the Let Nobody Turn You black History music project.
Ahzjah was a music lover from the age of 8 and music writer from the age of 13. She sang for years, performed, and recorded in the reggae, R&B, and jazz world. After marrying her husband and having children, she later became an indie artist consultant, teaching artists and giving them the tools to promote themselves. Music and Artist consulting allowed her to discover her love for marketing, communications, and media and produced radio programs, magazines, events, and video projects for many years. Media and media projects led her to discover the cooperative movement. After 17 years of wearing several hats in the cooperative movement including General Manager and Board President at her local retail food co-op, she ventured off into cooperative development and landed at the Georgia Cooperative Development Center. She established Digico Global Business Solutions LLC to lift up digital literacy, digital transformation. and data innovation in the co-op space. She is a member of Columinate a national cooperative consulting cooperative and Founder of ICM/Co-op Nation and Women In Cooperation.
She is also founder of The Children's Wellness Network.
CO-OP NATION NETWORK'S soft launch is March 2024 with Women In Cooperation's Herstory in Black, followed by Diverse Unity program and Co-op Nation: In Cooperation program in July for Day of Cooperation in July. The hard launch of the full network will take place in October for Co-op Month of 2024. The podcast media network aims to advance cooperative policy, technology, awareness, and infrastructure by highlighting the hundreds of cooperative journeys taking place today with start-up and existing cooperatives across all sectors. It offers P6 project opportunities with global, national, and local cooperators, as well as co-op 101 education, and best practices for developers and those interested in starting their own cooperative enterprise. A P5,P6,P7 initiative, produced by ICM.
